2 December 2020
As many of you will know, we have been studying the first of the Harry Potter books in our English lessons. At this time of year, we would usually be lucky enough to take our Year 6 pupils to the Warner Bros. Studio tour in Watford - however, we all know that this year has been very different!
Therefore, we have decided to hold our very own “Harry Potter Day” at school next Friday - December 11th. This day is currently our (optional) “Christmas Jumper Day”, so we would like to propose that pupils can also dress in Harry Potter fancy dress, or a combination of the two. We will also allow children to bring in a drink and a snack to watch the film with (no fizzy/energy drinks or food containing nuts please).
Children will have the opportunity to visit our very own Hogwarts classroom, take part in fun activities, arts and crafts and have a lesson with the Scissett Potions Master!
To make the day as successful as possible, we would like to ask parents/carers for a voluntary contribution of £3 (payable through ParentPay) to allow us to purchase the resources we need to create our vision for the day.
Please note: All care and consideration has been taken to ensure that the activities can be carried out in a Covid-safety compliant manner and the relevant risk assessments have been undertaken. If you have any queries, please contact Mrs Hull or Mrs Hunter, ahead of the day.
